String Tokenization

Tokenization is the process of substituting a sensitive data element with a non-sensitive equivalent, a token, that has no extrinsic or exploitable meaning or value. The token is a reference (i.e. identifier) that maps back to the sensitive data through a tokenization system.” – Wikipedia

You want to store the card number as a string – No Problem!

You want to store a JSON with the full card details, billing address and shipping information – No Problem!

You want to store grandma’s secret noodle soup recipe – No Problem!

Orchestra String Tokenization

The Orchestra String Tokenization service allows you to tokenize and store any string data that you would like to.

Whatever data you choose to store is up to you! It will all be stored in our secure vault and identified with a token – allowing you access to it at any time.

Hackers can't access what isn't there to begin with

Tokenization is the most secure method of storing sensitive data. You store our tokens in your system, while the original sensitive data is safely encrypted and stored in our vault. There is no way to reverse engineer the token to access your data. You must have both the token and your API access to retrieve the sensitive data from the Orchestra Vault. This separation of the sensitive information and the reference for it significantly reduces your company’s exposure to information theft and reduces the impact of any security breach.
